Anne & Brandon

May 21, 2016

While Brandon would probably be satisfied to say “I do” in the middle of a river in Montana, it would be pretty hard to get you all into drift boats and waders to witness the event! So, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate our marriage than with our family and friends joining us in our favorite [non-fishing, non-hunting] vacation spot, Lake Las Vegas!

We’re still working on some of the details of the event, so check this website as we get closer for more specific information!

The Couple

Anne & Brandon

It happened in a weekend: A borrowed truck. A round of golf. An evening float on the Madison River. “I’ll call you” turned into “Let’s do this for the rest of our lives” almost four years later.

We can’t wait to see what “the rest of our lives” looks like and we’re SO excited to kick it off with our family and friends!

Greens fees (including carts) are $125 per person and golf clubs may be rented for $30. These tee times will be held until May 12. After that, tee times will be based on availability. • Rehearsal + After Party

After the Rehearsal, we’d love you to join us for a little wedding eve social hour at The Chandelier located in The Cosmopolitan hotel on The Strip! We’ll be there from 8:00ish until 10pm or so.

Friday is a great day/night to visit the strip, choose your own place for dinner, or see a show, too! It’s up to you whether you want to join us to say CHEERS before the big day — but we’d love to see you if you have a minute to stop by between 8-10pm!

EAT / DO / DO MORE

EAT

Marssa at the Westin

101 MonteLago Boulevard
Lake Las Vegas

Lake Las Vegas’s very own 4-diamond sushi restaurant! Order sushi to go and take it on a desert picnic or dine-in looking over the water at sunset. Either way, you’ll get your local sushi fix taken care of!

EAT

The Auld Dubliner

40 Via Bel Canto
Lake Las Vegas

Just a few steps from the Hilton into the Village you’ll find this Irish pub with great burgers, beers, TVs and a great patio. Usually has a late night band performing on the weekends. Low key, casual, reliable.

EAT

"Secret" Pizza at The Cosmopolitan

3708 Las Vegas Boulevard
The Strip - Las Vegas

You may have to go on a little bit of a treasure hunt to find this place, but it’s THE BEST late night pizza you’ll ever taste, so YES, the line is worth the wait. Ride the escalator near The Chandelier up to the restaurant floor and start looking for a long narrow hallway. Lots of record albums on the wall. Especially good after Eric Church and Britney Spears concerts.

EAT

Shibuya at the MGM Grand

3799 Las Vegas Boulevard
The Strip - Las Vegas

Our HANDS DOWN favorite sushi place in Vegas – we’ll eat here both nights on a weekend trip. We’ve tried other sushi places on the strip, but always end up back at Shibuya. MUST HAVES: Rock Shrimp Tempura, Otoro Nigiri, Kabuto (lobster roll).

EAT

Mastro's Ocean Club at Crystals City Center

3270 Las Vegas Boulevard
The Strip - Las Vegas

Traditional steak and seafood restaurant perfection. Must Haves: Lobster Mashed Potatoes, Alaskan King Crab Black Truffle Gnocchi [YES! That’s ONE dish!] and the signature Warm Butter Cake.

EAT

In-N-Out Burger

Multiple Locations
Las Vegas

Usually our first stop after arriving, and last stop before leaving, Las Vegas. For those of you that don’t have access to In-N-Out on a regular basis… you get it. If you haven’t had one before, do yourself a favor and go get a Double Double. Don’t skip the fries. And google the secret menu.

FAQs

Is there a dress code?
We’ve suggested guidelines for each event under the “Party” tab. Really, we just want you to be comfortable! In May, the weather in Las Vegas is usually pretty temperate. 80s during the day and cooling off in the evening. But it can always shift to HOT or COLD. Main point: we want you to be comfortable, so dress for the weather, not us!

Are kids invited?
We are completely maxing out the number of people we can fit in the chapel, so we have decided to make all wedding events adults only.

However, Lake Las Vegas is a great place for families, so bring the kids if you’d like. It is NOT on the strip, it is its own resort area on the lake. The Hilton has a pool, beach, village with restaurants, boat rentals, and there are lots of other activities in the vicinity of Lake Las Vegas (Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, a large water park, hiking, biking).

If you need child care over the weekend, we recommend:
Artsy Nannies – http://artsynannies.com
Nannies & Housekeepers USA – http://nahusa.com

Can we stay on The Strip?
Sure. Just be aware that Lake Las Vegas is 18 miles (a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic) from The Strip and that all wedding events will be at Lake Las Vegas. If you do stay on the strip, you’ll need to rent a car or have a car service/Uber lined up so you can safely get between The Strip and Lake Las Vegas. The convenience factor definitely favors Lake Las Vegas!

Do I need a rental car?
If you are staying at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas, the hotel provides airport shuttles and golf shuttles, as well as free shuttles to and from The Strip. The airport shuttle should be arranged through the Hilton and has a small fee. There are plenty of amenities and entertainment options right in the resort, so you won’t need to leave if you don’t want to! However, if you want to be on your own schedule, explore areas like Lake Mead or Hoover Dam, or hit shopping destinations, you may want to rent a car. There is no overnight parking fee at the Hilton.

Booking extra days at the Hilton?
If you will be coming a day or two early or leaving late and need a room beyond the days that the group rate covers (Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights), the hotel advises that you book through the group link (on the Accommodations page) for the days that are within the block and then book your day(s) outside the block in a separate reservation. Then, call the Hilton at (702) 567-4700 to have your two reservations merged (to be sure no room-changing is involved!).

Book before April 20th to receive the group rate!
